OnStage

Performing arts

Already, several types of venues can host a show, including equipped venues, studio-type venues and outdoor stages.

Equipped theaters have a fixed hall/stage ratio.

The heart of the Cultural Center

A stage frame usually separates the hall from the stage and all the basic stage equipment is already in place.

The Maurice-O’Bready Hall is a fine example of a venue that hosts several types of shows.

Studio 108

A studio type venue establishes a more flexible hall/stage relationship and can even offer a completely exploded relationship.

The Studio de production at the Centre des arts de la scène Jean-Besré (CASJB) is a good example of a studio-type room.

Outdoor stages are often temporary stages set up on site for different types of events. For example, the outdoor stage for the Festival Folk & Blues des Cantons. In the photo, the stage was designed by Média Spec at Parc Terrio in Bolton Est for the festival.

However, we must not forget fixed facilities such as the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières.

Whether it is for a theater, dance, opera, variety (concert, recital, revue, etc.) or even circus arts project, do not hesitate to contact me.

Moving easily from the world of opera to that of Quebec dramaturgy, Claude Goyette has designed more than 150 scenographies for theater, opera, dance, cinema, television and events where he has created interior and exterior designs.
