Events
The scenography work meets various needs depending on the types of events and their characteristics, such as:
- Site: interior, exterior – sometimes both.
- Activities: multiple or limited to a single show – for example: festival, wedding, exhibition.
- Duration: a single day, several days or a recurrence over time.
- Issues: traffic, security, development of public spaces and production areas.
- Location: hotel, convention center, arena, museum, etc.
- Distribution: general public, corporate, private.
An event brings together several of these aspects to varying degrees. The role of scenography is to coordinate the visual and spatial organization.
This role, however, remains subordinate to the requirements of the organization that oversees it.
Moving easily from the world of opera to that of Quebec dramaturgy, Claude Goyette has designed more than 150 scenographies for theater, opera, dance, cinema, television and events where he has created interior and exterior designs.
